Sanyukt – A Complete Disaster Management Solution

Last year when Kerala was hit by massive floods, Many Govt. Organizations, as well as NGOs, came up to help. But still, the country could have provided more help. The reasons were no common platform to help. No real-time updates of assets. Lack of trust of citizens on any particular system that whether the amount they donate will actually be used for good or not.

We saw Blockchain as a perfect solution to establish trust and fighting the calamity in a united manner.

We develop a decentralised application which will enable NGOs to collaboratively come together during the time of the disaster event and create a common supply inventory list where food, water, shelter/medical support, clothes, and volunteer information is prepared.

The volunteers coordinating with the NGOs on site would use the same platform to authenticate registered citizens (or fresh register them) and confirm supply inventory for them, updating on the system in real-time.

This will ensure less wastage of supply rations, listing of missing citizens and helps NGO build trust with contributors.

We presented this novel approach to fight disaster at DevFest’18 organized by Google Developers Group, VIT and end up winning the hackathon.
